Neil is a qualified senior geologist who began his career in the mining industry in 1968. Over the past four decades, Neil has worked all over the globe and developed extensive experience in a wide range of mineral commodities including coal, uranium and base metals.

Since 1986, Neil has been focussed on generating his own mineral projects, and in the establishment and management of junior ASX-listed mining companies. Neil is chairman of ASX listed company Orocibre Limited.

Kevin Nichol - B.Comm (Hons) CFA
Managing Director

After finishing his honours thesis on the energy sector, Kevin worked as a financial analyst for the late Kerry Packer's private company, Consolidated Press Holdings P/L (now PBL Ltd). In the 1980's and 90's Kevin worked as a trader and stockbroker with several leading broking houses and the Sydney Futures Exchange.

More recently Kevin has been a strategic corporate advisor to a number of ASX listed companies, particularly in the junior resources sector, specialising in capital raisings, floats and corporate financing. Kevin is a non-executive director of Greater Bendigo Gold Mines Ltd.

Mark Sheppard - BSc., MSc., M.AusIMM, M.AAG
Executive Director

Mark is an exploration geologist and geochemist with over 20 years experience in the Australian mining industry. Mark was part of the team that discovered the Eloise copper/ gold deposit in 1988, and has extensive exploration and corporate experience with BHP Minerals, MIM Exploration, Straits Resources and Far West Mining.

As a geochemist and geologist, Mark brings a range of highly sought after geo-technical and operational skills to Bowen, and a strong background in project generation and evaluation.

Neeraj Singal (Nominee of Bhushan Steel Limited)
Non-Executive Director

Mr Singal is the Managing Director of Bhushan Steel Limited, Bowen's largest shareholder and joint venture partner. Mr Singal holds an Engineering Degree and a Business Management degree from Delhi University.

Mr. Singal has over 20 years experience in senior management positions in Bhushan Steel, India's third largest producer of speciality steel products. Under Mr Singal's leadership Bhushan has successfully commissioned two large steel plant construction projects to produce one million tonnes of auto grade steel. He has been instrumental in the commissioning of Bhushan's Orissa plant - an integrated steel project in Orissa with the total capital outlay of almost USD $3 billion.

Bill Hayes - BSc, METM, FAusIMM, MGSA, FIQ
Non-Executive Director

Bill Hayes is a senior geologist and mining industry manager with more than 35 years experience in base metals, coal and uranium in Australia and internationally.

Bill has extensive knowledge of the Bowen Basin coal deposits, having previously managed BHP Billiton's Blackwater South coal mining operation, which is situated next door to Bowen's coal deposits.
