| EPMA 15917 100% (73 sub-blocks) Pinnacle |
EPMA 15917 is located 50 km west of Mackay and immediately south of the town of Finch Hatton in North East Queensland. The EPMA consists of 73 Sub-blocks and covers an area of approximately 150 square km.
The region contains established potential for Cu-Au porphyry and related vein style deposits including silver-rich base metals (Tallyho prospect), gold and copper-gold deposits. Magnetic I-type granites with possible hydrothermal magnetite are interpreted from government aeromagnetic data, to occur with in the EPMA. Geophysical images indicate that the area is dominated by oxidized granitic intrusions (Teemburra Igneous Complex and the Gargett Granite) with potential for significant hydrothermal systems capable of developing deposits of these rock types.
